I’ll admit I’m not a scientist. I like nature and think wonders of science are just that, but my mind does NOT work that way. I’m content to accept things the way they are and believe they all have a purpose, even potato bugs.
But…I did do a couple of very scientific studies lately you might want to know about.
I sat in the car outside of the grocery store waiting for hubby and the kids to get a few things. I began to watch the people going in and out and noticed a trend. The men were all overweight. So I started counting. If their belly was obviously protruding beyond their chest, I counted them overweight. Here are my results:
10 out of 12 men that entered Vons in a 15 minute span were overweight. And not just a little bit. They all had big bellies.
Make your conclusions.
A. Most men who go to Vons are overweight.
or
B. Most men are overweight.
Study number two has been over the course of about a year. When leaving a store or building into a parking lot, I began to pay attention to the drivers who would stop to let you cross and those who would not. I have no hard numbers to give you, but can safely say that male drivers will allow me to cross much more often than female drivers will.
Conclusions:
A. Male drivers want to check you out, so of course they stop.
or
B. Female drivers are insensitive and selfish and need to slow down.
Take those mind benders to bed with you.

First: B
Second: A
“even potato bugs!!” Ha!!
I’m one of those women who almost always stop and let people cross. People who don’t stop drive me nuts. I’ve never paid attention to their gender but I will now. Ha!
I guess the second one should have another answer – people who just stop to be nice. Although for most guys, percentage-wise, I still think A is a safe bet.
I usually stop for everyone (not to check them out); in fact, the other day someone in an SUV behind me honked at me because I stopped for one group of people crossing (at one entrance) and then for another on the other side of the store. How much of a hurry must you be in to actually get mad at someone else for stopping?
LOL Martha I love your observations…I think my answers would be…B for both
