Beyond Dirty

Trepidation was how I approached this workout. It’s called “Filthy Fifty”: 10 exercises, 50 times each. Like this:

50 Box jump, 20 inch box
50 Jumping pull-ups
50 Kettlebell swings, 26#
Walking Lunge, 50 steps
50 Knees to elbows
50 Push press, 33# pounds
50 Back extensions
50 Wall ball shots, 14# pound ball (I used 10#)
50 Burpees
50 Double unders

I suppose I should have thought a little more about strategy, but I didn’t. My only plan was to keep going and finish before the 40 minutes was up. I did plan to use the 14# ball if I had reached the wall balls before 20 minutes. That didn’t happen this time, it will next time.
Things that happened:

I was able to do my box jumps without step downs…only jumps. This is HUGE for me. I have never even attempted to do this. Why now? No clue…remember, no plan.

I wanted to try to get at least sets of 10 on each movement that I could. It worked for the most part. Knees to elbows was a joke, though. Those were 1′s and maybe the occasional 2.

As grueling workouts go, I liked it and even surprised myself by doing the double under’s unbroken at the end. Chalk another one up completed. I’m looking forward to doing this again with something to compare it to now.
